Each portrait seeks to capture the quiet strength and potential energy of a wild cat at rest. Even in their quietest, still moments, cats have an electrifying presence, as if they are constantly ready to spring into action at any given moment.
In a society which rewards blustering showmanship and improportionate airtime is given over only to those with the loudest voices, cats remind us that true strength does not need to noisily declare itself; that silence can speak volumes; and that the patient ability to stand back and quietly observe is not only a skill, but a virtue.
